Hello! How are you? Sempre que falamos sobre ações passadas, em inglês, nos lembramos dos verbos regulares e irregulares. Hoje vamos aprender de forma resumida a diferença entre eles.
Os verbos regulares formam seu passado acrescentando a terminação –ed.
Exemplos:
To work – worked (trabalhar)
To visit – visited (visitar)
Leitura recomendada: A pronúncia dos verbos no passado terminados em ED.
Os verbos irregulares têm uma forma própria do passado que não segue uma regra específica.
Exemplos:
To come – came (vir)
To buy – bought (comprar)
To write – wrote (escrever)

Formamos a negação de uma frase no passado com o auxiliar didn’t. Percebam que ao usarmos o auxiliar didn’t, o verbo que está no passado volta para sua forma no presente.
Alex visited his grandmother last week. = Alex didn’t visit his grandmother last week.
A interrogação se forma com o auxiliar did.
Pam bought a very beautiful skirt. = Did Pam buy a very beautiful skirt?
